Mr. Douglas Snyder currently serves as Executive Director of the Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC) and has over 20 years’ experience in green building on over 50 projects. Other recent work includes a position as Deputy Director of Sustainable Design with ARDOR Architects (2016-2021) where he supervised the green building certification of a variety of building types including commercial office, high-rise residential, hospitality, and industrial. He also worked closely with the IFC-World Bank to promote the EDGE green building system in Vietnam (2018-2019).

In 2014, Douglas served as a green building expert in USAID’s Vietnam Clean Energy Project with the primary task of advising the Vietnam Ministry of Construction (MOC) on green building market promotion nationally. He has continued similarly on advisory councils for the MOC.

Douglas was principal consultant of his own private sector green building consulting firm (2004–2016) in the USA. He received his B.S. in Environmental Studies in 1992, M.S. in Organizational Management in 2003, and LEED AP accreditation in 2004.
