This presentation has two main content sessions:

The first session would introduce an Assessing – Guiding Set of Criterion for Green New Urban Area in Vietnam. This is a scientific work developed from a PhD. Dissertation in Urban planning (of National University of Civil Engineering – NUCE) and a Scientific Research Task at Ministry level (of Vietnam Institute of Architecture VIAr – MoC). The objective of this Set of Criterion is to become a useful tool which can benefit plenty of users – which are: Project investor, Governmental authority, Planner and People/ House-buyers. This Set of Criterion has been developed as a Assessing – Guiding Framework with 06 main Groups of Criterion = 24 Criterion = 60 Indicators.

The second session would discuss difficulties, barriers for the development of Green New Urban Area in general and for Green Assessment in general. The identified obstacles include a lack of: data, supplying resources; of the stakeholders’ competence; perception of house buyers or the general public etc.
